Thanks for your interest in pet modeling.
Any size or breed may submit images for future projects. The projects that I photograph pets for are varied and tend to appear in a variety of media ranging from advertising and greeting cards, to magazine layouts, catalogs, retail products, packaging and displays. I also refer trained pets to local animal talent agencies for commercial photo shoots.
The models that are used most often are those that display skills such as sit stay, down stay, holding items in mouth, play bowing on cue, wearing clothing and accessories, putting head down on cue and other photogenic positions. It's never too late to start obedience and trick training - and it's a great bonding experience.
Pet Photos pet modeling requirements:
- MUST LIVE IN CHICAGOLAND AREA (Illinois, USA)
- reliable off leash control; sit stays, down stays
- highly socialized to new people and places
- comfortable with sounds and flashing lights
- displays good manners
- shows a willingness to model
- obedience, special skills and tricks are a plus!

Ongoing interest in dogs 10 lbs. and under
Light colored (cream, tan, muliti) long-haired Chihuahua, Papillon, Maltese and Yorkshire Terriers in neatly-groomed or long show coats to be considered for pet clothing modeling projects. Additional short haired breeds such as Italian Greyhound, Rat Terrier, Boston Terrier under 20 lbs. also welcomed for consideration.
Pet Photos Modeling Test Shoots
A limited number of 15-minute modeling test shoots are available each month. Test shoots are one way to introduce your pet to the studio environment, and to gauge the readiness of your dog or cat to model. This specially-priced option is available only to trained pets that already display reliable off-leash skills such as sit, stay, down, holding items in mouth, wearing clothing and accessories, and touching items or putting their head down on cue. Lupus patients and their pets are needed as models for the first series of 18-month Pets N' Patients calendars dedicated to generate greater awareness of the disease.
